Author’s Bio
Trevor Scott is the pen name for Lord Captain Scott F. Schmidt. He was born in
Duluth, Minnesota, and grew up in Carlton, where he earned his Eagle Scout in
the Boy Scouts of America at age 16. At age 18, he worked on the dangerous
flight deck of three aircraft carriers loading weapons on Navy aircraft for four
years, and then as an officer in the Air Force for seven years, where he was
stationed in various missile units during the fall of communism and as a
commander of 500 personnel in a B-52 squadron during the first Gulf War. He
is the author of more than 55 books in the best selling Jake Adams
International Espionage Thriller Series, the Karl Adams Series, and the Max
Kane Mystery Series. He holds a bachelor's in English from the University of
Minnesota, Duluth, and a master's in creative writing from Northern Michigan
University. He has traveled to more than 95 countries, lived in Germany for
three years, lived in 15 states, and currently resides in Nevada.
Scott retired as a captain in the Air Force. His military honors include the Air
Force Commendation Medal (with oak leaf cluster), the Air Force Achievement
Medal, Expert Marksmanship, National Defense Service Medal, Navy Good
Conduct Medal, Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation (the unit bronze star
equivalent), and the German Schutzenschnur (silver).
As the publisher of Salvo Press for more than 20 years, he won a Special
Recognition Award at the Frankfurt eBook Awards for the quality of his
publications.
Scott has been married for more than 39 years. He has two grown sons and a
grandson.
